ADAKORT It's a competitive game from 2 to 4 players that takes place in a mystical world in which we will be a group of sorcerers competing to be the chosen Successors of Adakort the Wizard. In exchange for granting us his universal knowledge, he asks us to gather the Mystical Crystals, and for this we must unite the best army of orcs, humans, elves, and dwarves before the other fellows sorcerers do.
We will be , equipping objects, using spells to attack or defend and using individual skills to succed in our mission.

⚙️⛓ The Principal Mechanics of the game are: Variable Player Powers, Hand Management, and Take that!, among others.
It's very fun game easy to play, in wich it turns really competitive as you learn the versatility and combination of strategies!

Board game development world is indeed pasionating!

  • Recruiting characters.
  • Equipping objects.
  • Spelling Magic Attacks
  • Individual Sorcerers skills

DESIGN PROCESS

Plan your ideas to make them come true!
This was part of my ideation process.
I can't explain everything in four pictures but I will try :)

Laying out the ideas

I've started writing down all my ideas, looking for existing references and sources of inspiration. Sometimes I write down questions, names, mechanics, genres, colors, pictures, etc. Whatever works for me! :)

Creation Process

With the idea defined, I've started to filter ideas by removing and refining.
Then I've made a prototype so I could make a first test of those ideas and learn from the valuable Feedback and the playtest experience.

Testing with Users

Testing certain tasks and mechanics it's very important on this step. Pay attention to the user's behavior, questions, doubts, etc. Write down everything relevant, such as date, timeplay, etc.

Prototype & Iterations

After getting the user's feedback, and once you've tested it with many different people (players and non-players) and found bugs, it's time to balance rules, come out with new ideas, remove or add components.

I hope you like my project Adakort!
